What is required to get the quoted value?

To get the quoted value, select the correct device model and attributes like storage, network, CPU, GPU, and RAM, as well as the cosmetic condition based on categories shown in the quote process.

If unsure of specifications, choose the lowest configuration and matching condition—we’ll adjust your payment if inspection shows the device is worth more.

What if I'm not sure about the condition?

One of the key benefits of Eco Toreda is our thorough quality control checks including a 400 point check-list inspection.

Upon arrival at our facility, all devices are classified based on their actual condition. If our inspection determines your device doesn't match offer criteria, we will automatically adjust your quote and update your payment amount.

How do I send in my device?

Unlike other trade-in programs, you'll never have to hassle with selecting a shipping service (e.g. FedEx or UPS), printing a shipping label, finding packaging materials, packing your device and delivering it to a drop off location.

With Eco Toreda, you simply bring your device and confirmation email to one of our drop off centers in your neighborhood.

Will my personal data be removed?

Yes, we remove all personal data from devices we receive, following the NIST 800-88 Guidelines for Media Sanitization to ensure secure data erasure. However, it is your responsibility to remove all personal data before sending in your device. This includes performing a factory reset and backing up important files. By doing so, you protect your privacy and ensure the device is ready for processing.

What does Unlocked mean?

In the US, when you purchase a phone from your carrier under a financing plan, the device is often locked to that carrier’s network. This means it will only work with that specific carrier until it’s fully paid off. Once the phone is paid in full, you can request to have it unlocked, allowing you to use it with other carriers. However, in some cases, you’ll need to contact your carrier directly to ask them to unlock the phone.

Do you accept lost or stolen devices?

We do not accept lost or stolen devices. For smartphones, we check each device’s serial number against a lost or stolen database. This service is only available for smartphones, as no similar service exists for other devices. If authorities contact us about a lost or stolen device you traded in, we will turn it over to them. Please ensure your device is not lost or stolen before sending it in.

How will I be paid?

You choose! After your device has been inspected you'll receive an email with instructions on selecting your payment method.

You can choose from a Virtual Visa Card or one of our hundreds of Gift Card options.

Unlike other / most trade-in programs, you can use your Virtual Visa without restriction.

When will I be paid for my device?

You’ll receive your payment within 30 days of dropping off your device—but we also provide faster payout options for added convenience!

For a small fee, you can choose to upgrade and get paid in 15 days or even as quickly as 7 days. It’s all about giving you the flexibility to pick the timing that works best for your needs.

Can I Get My Device Back After Trade-In?

Once a device is sent in for trade-in, it enters our processing system where it undergoes verification, data erasure, and preparation for resale or recycling. Due to this workflow, devices cannot be returned to their original owners. We recommend carefully reviewing your decision and ensuring all personal data is removed before sending in your device, as the trade-in process is final and irreversible.
